essential element of any art
“An essential element of any art is risk. If you don’t take a risk then how are you going to make something really beautiful, that hasn’t been seen before…”

please always remember
If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.- Winnie the Pooh, A.A. Milne

a few of my favourite docs
I do love me a good documentary. I started watching even more documentaries in the past year, when reading became more challenging for me as a result of a car accident in September 2009. Documentaries & TED talks have kept my mind & heart engaged. Lucky for me, my beloved CBC has great documentaries available to stream online. The Passionate Eye & Doc Zone are both work checking out.
65 Red Roses is a touching & sometimes heart breaking documentary. It offers a glimpse into the life of Eva Markvoort as she battles the cystic fibrosis. Her creative spirit, and open hearted strength & determination inspire me. Such a beautiful, bright spirit. It recently showed at the Sundance Film Festival, and will be airing on Oprah's new network, OWN in the spring.
It is also currently available to view online on cbc.ca (perhaps only in Canada...)

Enjoy & please do consider becoming an organ donor.
