stone soup festival

come check out this great community event. i will be there with my foodie photography - photos of local food framed in handcrafted one-of-a-kind frames made from local reclaimed wood, postcards, cards, magnets.

15th Annual Stone Soup Festival

A celebration of food, art, environment and community. Included will be food vendors, a film festival, local artists, community groups, talks and workshops, entertainment, Latin American Mother's Day Celebration, children's activities, free soup and more!

When: Saturday, May 8th, 12-5pm.

the east van farmers market needs your support! it must relocate from its home of 13 years (the main trout lake community centre parking lot) due to the planned tear down & rebuilding of the community centre. the proposed move to the north parking lot is being meet with mixed reviews. if you love local farmers, producers & artisans, please take a moment to sign the online petition. there is a public meeting at the parks board on april 8th.
