Paula has been studying the cultural, social, and healing diversity of food for over 20 years. She trained at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where she went on to teach for 6 years.

Paula has led several organizations and successful food security projects.  Most recently, Paula was the Project Manager for the highly successful Farmers' Market Nutrition & Coupon Project.  The FMNCP was a BC province wide nutrition program for low-income families with children and low-income pregnant women.  It connected participating families with local farmers' markets and cooking & skill building programs.

In addition to seeing clients one-on-one, Paula gives group workshops  and  is a popular  public speaker on a range of topics relating nutrition and food as a tool for community & personal development.  Paula draws on her many years of experience as a whole foods cook  and in the natural foods industry to provide cooking lessons, both private and in group settings.

Paula believes that food not only has the ability to heal the physical body, but also to nurture our spiritual and emotional health and our social well-being. She makes food fun, engaging, and a celebration.
